What is an enamel jewel?

An enamel jewel is a metal jewel coated with enamel: a coloured glass powder that melts when heated to a high temperature and hardens into a smooth, glossy surface. This is what gives enamel jewellery its intense colours, which are not simple paint.

How is a MORA Geneva enamel jewel made?

Every MORA Geneva piece is designed in Geneva, then assembled and soldered by hand. The enamel is applied by hand, colour by colour. The jewellery is available in a gold or silver finish (925 silver).

Is enamel jewellery fragile?

Enamel is a durable material, but like glass it can chip if knocked or dropped. A few simple habits keep enamel jewellery vibrant: avoid prolonged contact with water, perfume and creams, store it away from light and clean it with a soft, dry cloth.

All our tips are detailed in our enamel jewellery care guide.

Why choose enamel jewellery?

The colours of enamel add character to a simple look, and every handmade piece is slightly unique. Enamel jewellery can be worn alone as a touch of colour, or stacked with other bracelets.
